Chapter Thirty-Six: Rage!

Rabbeh was still at the square, but he did not hear the sound of the guns, which were drowned out by the festivities, but he suspected something was wrong when Abdou did not return after a while. He sent his men to find out what was happening. A few minutes later they came back and reported that neither Hayah nor Abdou was in his room. At that point, he knew something was really wrong, so he quietly left the square with his guards and went after them. By the time he got to the edge of town, he found the bodies of Hayah and his men strewn all over the place. Immediately, he knew what happened and his anger rose against his son, who by now was nowhere to be found. He ordered a man hunt to find him wherever he was and bring him back to face the full force of his wrath.
